Who was Pablo Picasso?

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter and sculptor, possibly most famous for his painting entitled "Guernica" as well as being the founder of an art style known as "Cubism". Pablo Ruis Picasso was born on October 25th, 1881 in Málaga, Spain.

Picasso's Artistic Periods
Picasso continued to experiment with many different styles and subjects throughout his lifetime. He is well known for the "Picasso Blue Period" (1901-1904), the "Picasso Rose Period" (1905-1907), the "Picasso Black Period" or "Picasso African Period" (1907-1909), and perhaps most famously, "Cubism" (1909-1919).
After World War I, Picasso's painted in a "neo-classical" and "surrealistic" style that was common for artists in the 1920s. Perhaps Picasso's most famous painting is named "Guernica", a depiction of the German bombing of Guernica, Spain during the Spanish Civil War.
